Minutes, not days

You describe the project once. Quantities, prices and the layout of your documents follow, and are recalculated with every change.

Quantities without a take-off

A reference library of ratios, calibrated on real projects, derives the quantities from the floor areas you know.

Figures you can defend

Every quantity shows where it comes from, every price how it is built up. In front of the client, you explain an amount instead of having to live with it.

How it works

How Quostra estimates your project

You describe. Quostra models, quantifies and prices. You receive documents you can check line by line, from the questionnaire to the tender package.

Step 1

You describe the project

A guided questionnaire, written in the vocabulary of your profession. Each answer opens or closes the questions that follow: you only answer what applies to your project.

  • Three project types: new build, renovation, demolition
  • Storeys, spaces and floor areas you already know
  • Level of specification, trade by trade
  • No drawings to import, no take-off to do

Step 2

Quostra models the building

Your answers become a model: storeys, spaces, walls, doors and windows, all in a single coordinate system. The structure adapts to the construction system you have described.

In renovation, Quostra builds two layers, the existing state and the proposed state, then overlays them. What disappears becomes demolition, what appears becomes new work. The nature and extent of the demolition work are derived automatically.

Step 3

Quostra quantifies and prices

For each trade, the engine applies measurement rules: floor areas room by room, perimeters, heights, ratios from the reference library. It then prices each quantity with a reference price, a national coefficient and a regional coefficient.

Every value keeps its origin: declared by you, taken from the reference library, linked to the context of the project, or calculated. That is what makes every line verifiable.

A complete package, ready to review and send: the editable source files and their PDF versions. Lot and item numbers are the same in every document.

Change an answer? Only the parts affected are recalculated, then your documents are regenerated.

Good to know

No drawings to import

You describe the project with what you already know. That is what makes it possible to estimate from the first sketch.

Your files remain editable

Adjust a price, complete an item: the Excel and Word source files are yours.

Nothing is priced unless it is declared

Any lot you have not described is shown as not applicable, never as included by default.

Method

No black box.

Quostra does not guess your figures. Its engine applies measurement rules and a library of reference prices that are always the same: identical answers, identical result.

A reference library calibrated on real projects

Quantity ratios and reference prices come from completed projects. You start from proven data, not from an average found online.

Two coefficients, national and regional

The same work item does not cost the same in Paris, Lyon or Brest. Each price carries the coefficient of its country and of its region.

Not identified, not included

What you have not described is not priced, and the estimate says so. You always know what the amount covers.

An estimate remains an estimate. Quostra gives you a complete, reasoned basis: you check it, and the decision stays yours.

Frequently asked questions

Before you start

Another question? Write to us.

Does signing up commit me to anything?

No. You will decide whether or not to subscribe when Quostra opens.

Does Quostra replace a construction cost consultant?

Quostra gives you a complete, justified basis, from the first sketch to the tender. You check it and you remain responsible for it, as you would for the work of a member of your team. On a complex project, the advice of a cost consultant remains valuable.

Which projects can I estimate?

New build, renovation and demolition. In renovation, Quostra compares the existing state with the proposed state to determine the nature and extent of the demolition work.

Can I edit the generated documents?

Yes. You receive editable files, each with a PDF version.

Where do the prices come from?

From a library of reference prices calibrated on real projects, adjusted by a national coefficient and a regional coefficient.
